Toilet Removal & Replacement & Installation of Pressure Reducing Valve Nellie B. Project A Certified Check or Bank Draft drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation, payable to Athens Housing Authority, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety on the Bid Bond form contained in the Project Manual and in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond(s) in the amount of 100% of the Contract Amount. The General Contractors submitting bids or being considered for this work shall be licensed to perform such work by the State in which the work is located and shall submit evidence of such license before his bid may be opened or considered. Bids shall not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Toilet Removal and Replacement (215 Toilets and 222 Angle Stops) 1: Turn water supply off. 2: Remove Old toilet and Old wax seal and dispose of old. 3: Remove Old Angle stop and supply line, Install new 1/4 turn Angle stop (provided by owner) 4: If needed repair old Toilet flange (bid as if 50% of flanges will need to be repaired - anything outside of this 50% will be addressed via change order). Please give an individual price per toilet for flange repair for change order purposes. 5: Install New wax seal with horn, New Toilet, New nylon bolts, (provided by owner) -Install New Toilet on bed of Hydraulic cement/plug and patch (to be provided by contractor) and remove excess cement. 6: Connect water supply and test toilet for leaks 7: Clean up afterwards. 8: Complete each apartment before moving to another apartment, never leave any apartment unlocked or unattended. Install Pressure Reducing Valve 9: Provide and Install New Water Box/Vault Downstream of Existing City Water Vault/Shutoff (to be provided by contractor) 10: Provide and Install New 4" Pressure Reducing Valve and Backflow in New Water Box Flush System and Pressurize (to be provided by contractor)
