Plans call for the electrical work for bid package 3 on the WWTP project for the City of Wilkesboro. Work shown on the Drawings, or indicated in the Specifications, or indicated elsewhere in the Contract Documents is part of the Work, regardless of whether indicated below. The Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1) Demolition of existing piping (to include process and storm drainage piping), wastewater process equipment, existing sludge drying beds and other concrete structures, concrete pipe supports, aluminum grating and structural supports, asphalt pavement, concrete pads as indicated on the Contract Drawings. 2) Demolition of existing electrical wiring, conduits, panels, switches, light poles, and other electrical related equipment as indicated on the Contract Drawings. 3) Demolition of existing HVAC equipment as indicated on the Contract Drawings. 4) Installation of upgrades to the Influent Pump Station as shown on the Contract Drawings. 5) Installation of improvements to the existing Headworks Structure to include new perforated screens; sluice trough; washer compactor; grit classifier; grit pump; flow control gates; grit system bypass channel; new stairs; new grating to include grating structural supports; and handrails as shown on the Contract Drawings. 6) Conversion of existing Clarifier No. 4 to an Influent Buffer Tank for the Aerobic Granular Sludge process. Following demolition of the existing clarifier mechanism and effluent launder, these improvements will generally include influent piping modifications for the collection system wastewater and Tyson Foods' wastewater; installation of a new tank mixer; Aerobic Granular Sludge influent pump station and associated piping, valves, and fittings; elevated pump platform; access stairs; handrails; electrical enclosure; and surge relief valve complete as shown on the Contract Drawings. 7) Installation of a new Aerobic Granular Sludge (AquaNereda(R)) advanced biological treatment process to include the entire AquaNereda(R) equipment package furnished by Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc.; all concrete tanks; piping enclosures, process piping, valves, and fittings; blowers; stainless steel air piping, fittings, and air valves; pipe supports and brackets; stairs; handrails; HVAC equipment; manufacturer provided control panels and process instrumentation complete as shown on the Contract Drawings and documents provided by Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc. 8) Installation of a new ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system to generally include a new parallel channel UV structure, new UV disinfection equipment, manufacturer provided ballast enclosures, fixed finger weirs, flow control gates, piping, and valves as shown on the Contract Drawings. 9) Installation of new effluent flow measuring facilities to include a 30-inch fiberglass Parshall flume, precast concrete flume structure, cover consisting of grating, ultra-sonic open channel flow meter, and piping as shown on the Contract Drawings. 10) Installation of improvements to digester decanting, waste sludge pumping, and digested sludge pumping facilities. These improvements will generally include converting the existing Return Activated Sludge pump station to a Waste Sludge pump station; installation of floating decant pumps in Digester Nos. 1 and 2; installation of manual decant piping at Digester Nos. 1 and 2; and installation of a new Digested Sludge pump station to include an elevated platform, access stairs, handrails, piping, and associated valves as shown on the Contract Drawings.
