Renovation of a medical facility in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Design plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Relocation of the IWK Maritime Centre for Precision Medicine to an off-site location. The renovation/relocation will be completed in phases to ensure it remains operational and accessible during the renovation/build. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals for Pre-Design Feasibility, and design & construction support services was awarded in late 2024. The Pre-Design phase of this project is to confirm the feasibility of relocating the Centre to an off-site location. The design & construction support services phase largely includes design of the Clinical Genomics, a diagnostic genetic service, and other precision diagnostic services. Further project details and schedules may be confirmed fall 2025. *Cost to be determined.
