Inquiries Deadline Date & Time (local) 12/11/2024, 2 PM The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for construction of Wahlfield Park North Phase II, located at 7117 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park, MI 49321. The project consists of building two (2) parking lots with approximately 55 spaces each, vehicular drive, sidewalks, irrigation, a dog park, and site amenities to the Phase I trailhead parking that was completed in 2023. The dog park will include gravel paths, small shade shelter, a boardwalk, ornamental and chain link fencing, and small pond with sandy beach and jump pier. Phase I additions include sidewalk and shade structures. The project will also provide site electrical service to Phase I and Phase II. Two restroom buildings will also be constructed under separate contract and work shall be coordinated to have a successful project. Each offer over $500,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond executed by the Respondent and payable to County of Kent for 5% of the total amount of the offer. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds or Performance Bonds must file a certified dated copy of their Power of Attorney. A certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) may be submitted In lieu of a Bid Bond. Personal checks are NOT acceptable. Each contract over $50,000 must be accompanied by a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each payable to the Owner (County of Kent) and each in the amount of 100% of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the funding agency, for the faithful performance of the contract The Solicitation shall be awarded to the responsible bidder(s) whose submission, conforming with all the material terms and conditions of the Solicitation, is the lowest price. Once the project is started, work will be continuous until the point of completion. All work must be completed by September 15, 2025.
