The City of Naperville is accepting sealed bids from qualified vendors to supply labor, equipment, supplies and material associated with the 2025 West Waterworks & Pressure Adjusting Station (Pas) 15e Improvements. The work generally includes Part 1: 2025 West Waterworks Improvements and Part 2: 2025 Pressure Adjusting Station (PAS) 15E Improvements. QUESTIONS DURING THE BID PROCESS All questions concerning this bid shall be submitted in writing at least five business days prior to the online bid opening to Carla Soria at soriac@naperville.il.us. The deadline for questions is December 12, 2024 by 12:00 p.m. If required, a written response in the form of an addendum will be issued. No contact with the Water Department shall be made during the bid process. Questions asked after the deadline are not guaranteed a response. Work Covered by the Contract 1. Part 1: The Work to be performed under this Contract consists of the replacement of existing control valves, butterfly valves, pressure gauges, pressure transmitter, sump pumps, underdrain pumps, and associated piping in the West Waterworks. The work also includes replacement of existing sump pump control panel, installation of new remote PLC and SCADA cabinet, new backup PLC, replacement of the sanitary and vent pipes to PVC in mechanical room, installation of associated electrical wires and new conduits, replacement of four hatches for the reservoir, CCTV pipe assessment for station water main (approximately 1170 ft in total), and West Waterworks mechanical room valves, walls, floors and ceiling painting. 2. Part 2: Replacement of existing control valves, butterfly valves, pressure gauges, pressure transmitter, sump pumps, and associated piping in the PAS 15E. The work also includes replacement of existing sump pump control panel, installation of the backup SCADA, replacement of existing light panel, replacement of vent, louver, and flooding sensor, installation of new meter and manual transfer switch with generator connection, installation of associated electrical wires and new conduits., and replacement of the existing hatch with a pre-fab building. The project also includes site improvements such as grading, drainage swale and new pavement.
