Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Bellevue, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Work on the improvement shall commence on or before the date specified in the written "Notice to Proceed". Work on the project shall occur between May 26 through August 20, 2025 and shall be ready for acceptance by August 20, 2025. Liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000.00 per calendar day will be assessed for each day that the work shall remain uncompleted after the end of the contract period, with due allowance for extension of contract period due to conditions beyond the control of the Contractor, as approved by the City Council. The extent of the work includes the reconstruction of 4th Street from State Street to Franklin Street (3 city blocks). The street reconstruction includes the replacement of storm sewer including manholes and intakes; water main including water service, valves and appurtenances; and full roadway reconstruction. The roadway reconstruction includes intersection reconstruction and ADA sidewalk improvements at intersections. The project includes two options for the pavement reconstruction: Option A consists of 7" thick PCC with integral curb and gutter; Option B consists of 4" thick HMA with PCC curb and gutter. The project also includes traffic control for a detour during a portion of the project on Highway 62. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8 and as specified by the City of Bellevue, Iowa. The bid security shall be 10% of the total amount of the bid. The bidder should not include sales tax in the bid. Sales tax exemption certificates will be issued in accordance with Iowa Code 423.3, subsection 80, and provided to the contractor and subcontractors for all material purchased for incorporation in the project. The improvements shall be kept and maintained in good repair for a period of two year(s) after final acceptance of the project by the Owner. The City of Bellevue, Iowa hereby reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities and award a contract as deemed to be in the best interest of the city.
