Site work for a water / sewer project in Athens, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sewer and Waterline Replacement South Palestine Bid Security, Performance and Payment Bonds shall be provided as set forth in the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS FOR CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Athens or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Bids may be held by the City of Athens for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders' qualifications prior to the contract award. The City of Athens reserves the rights to reject any and/or all submitted qualifications and to waive formalities. All questions shall be directed to the engineer prior to December 10th, 2024 5:00 PM CST. The City of Athens reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Engineer estimate $1.8 million to $2.2 million *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
