Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Charlotte, North Carolina. Design plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This funding will be used to develop new and accessible bicycle/pedestrian points of access to existing park and recreation facilities. Improved access is proposed at the following existing facilities: Nevin Park, Winterfield Park, Idlewild Park, Kilborne Park, Four Mile Creek Greenway, Colonel Francis Beatty Park, Renaissance Park, McDowell Creek Greenway, Westerly Hills Park, Little Sugar Creek Greenway, and matching funds for a bicycle/pedestrian accommodations on the Wilkinson Boulevard/Highway 74 bridge replacement over the Catawba River As of April 15, 2025, this project is included in the county's 2026-2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). It is currently in the design phase. Construction is not expected to begin until 2027. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
