Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Bakersfield, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 4,137-square-foot medical facility; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Construction of (1) Wellness Center, (1) Parent Center and (2) Transitional Kindergarden Classrooms which includes but is not limited to demolition, grading, site utilities, asphalt, concrete, electrical, fire alarm and communication. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California contractors' license(s): B - General Building Contractor. This project requires prequalification pursuant to AB 1565 of all general contractors and all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing subcontractors. If required, Prequalification can be completed using the online prequalification system at online. Question Deadline 12/26/2024 A bid package will not be accepted from any bidder that is required to submit a completed questionnaire and supporting documents pursuant to AB 1565, but has not done so at least ten (10) business days prior to the date fixed for the public opening of sealed bids or that has not been prequalified for at lest five (5) business days prior to that date. The successful bidder will be required to certify that it either meets the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise ("DVBE") goal of three percent (3%) participation or made a good faith effort to solicit DVBE participation in this Contract if it is awarded the Contract for the Work. A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the Bakersfield City School District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form and Proposal, as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the Contract for the Work. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If the District awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) days from the time the award is made.
