Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Youngstown, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The project consists of removing existing Type 4 guardrail and replacing it with new MGS guardrail and accessories at various location on seven (7) county roads. For all bids in excess of $75,000.00 , a certified check representing TEN percent (10%) of the proposal, drawn on a solvent bank, and payable to the Mahoning County Treasurer, or a bid bond in the sum of TEN percent (10%) of the proposal in lieu thereof must accompany each and every proposal as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into with the Board of County Commissioners, in the manner provided by law. A performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required after the award of the contract. However, if the item bid is available for immediate delivery and specified as such in the bid, a performance bond will not then be required. A payment bond in the amount of 100% of the estimated cost of the work conditioned for the payment by the Contractor and all Subcontractors for labor performed and materials furnished in connection with the project involved. The Ohio Department of Transportation must be listed as an additional bond oblige. All Contractors must be pre-qualified with the Ohio Department of Transportation. The required contract provisions for federal-aid construction contracts contained in the Federal Bid Doc Template is hereby incorporated by reference. These rules and regulations shall apply to all work to be done under this contract. If any provisions of these rules and regulations conflict with any other clauses of this contract, the Federal Bid Doc Template shall govern. The contractor and all subcontractors for this project must be enrolled in the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation Drug Free Workplace Program or in a similar program approved by the Bureau of Workers' Compensation. Any contractor that does not meet this requirement will have their bid deemed non-responsive and cannot be awarded the contract. There is a DBE goal on this project of 5%. The Engineer's Estimate is $125,557.50 Clearly indicate the item being bid, as well as the name and address of the person or business submitting the bid, on the outside of the sealed envelope containing the bid. Doc note: Checks are to be made payable to Treasurer of Mahoning County. Failure to obtain a copy of the plans and specifications from the Mahoning County Purchasing Department may result in bid rejection/s due to non-compliance with fee requirements and official addendum notification/s. The Board of Mahoning County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. In addition, the Board of Mahoning County Commissioners reserves the right to participate in state contracts which the Department of Administrative Services, Office of State Purchasing has entered into for the purchase of supplies, services, equipment and certain materials pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 125.04.
