Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The project involves the rehabilitation of surfacing and improvement of parking lot operations at El Vado and Heron Lake State Parks in New Mexico. It includes a main schedule (Schedule A) for work on State Park Road 5001 in El Vado State Park and an option (Option X) for access roads and parking lots within Heron Lake State Park. The scope includes full depth reclamation (FDR) of 5.23 miles of asphalt roadway--4.61 miles on State Park Road 5001 and 0.62 mile on Willow Creek Boat Ramp Access Road. FDR will also be performed on three paved parking lots: Heron State Park Visitors Center, Willow Creek Boat Ramp, and Ridge Rock Parking Lot with its adjacent access road. Additionally, a gravel parking lot in El Vado State Park will be paved. The project includes curb removal, new sidewalk installation, signing, pavement markings, and minor drainage improvements such as culvert cleaning. Principal work items include approximately 78,000 square yards of full depth reclamation with cement at a 4-inch depth, 13,000 tons of asphalt concrete pavement, 75 tons of prime coat (Method 1), 55 tons of fog seal, 33 miles of pavement markings (Type B, solid), 500 cubic yards of roadway excavation, 2,100 tons of roadway aggregate (Method 2), 60 square yards of concrete sidewalk, and cleaning of 15 culverts in place. The estimated price range of the project work is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
