Remodeling of a fire / police facility in Albany, New York. Completed plans call for the remodel of a fire / police facility.

Center Station & South Station Remodeling Project SCOPE FOR LOBBY AREA AND STEPS 1. Demolition of lobby area a. Remove ceiling tiles/leave grid b. Remove walls c. Remove doors 2. Frame new walls/sheath with level 3 ballistic paneling and sheetrock up to ceiling deck 3. Tape/Sand/Cleanup Joint compound and accessories on new sheetrock walls 4. Install new millwork counter system with level 3 ballistic glass/deal trays/speak throughs 5. Paint all walls in lobby, existing ceiling grid and the doors and frames 6. Install 1/4 inch thick steel panels in lower sashes of lobby windows. a. Note - upper sash will not carry a ballistic rating 7. Supply and install a 3'0x7'0 Level 3 ballistic door/frame/6x20 vision panel in door 8. Install new LVT flooring throughout the lobby area over existing VCT 9. Additional electrical wiring for installation of lobby cameras SCOPE FOR THE GARAGE AREA AND STEPS 1. Remove existing garage door and associated track 2. Remove door/frame and wall - disconnect devices attached to wall and frame 3. Install 2pcs - 1/4 inch thick steel plates in upper two windows - Leave the louver as is 4. Build temp interior wall during construction with entry door and hardware 5. Masonry - Install a CMU wall within the original garage door frame area 6. Install one wythe of brick on the exterior side to match the existing brick color of the building - tie to CMU wall 7. Install a level 3 ballistic 6'0x7'0 double door/frame/hw with 6x20 vison kit. a. Note - possible $13k savings if we switch to a 3'0x7'0 door GENERAL SCOPE : 1. Installation of electrical furnishing - Must include updated energy efficient lighting throughout the project area 2. Installation of new flooring for extension of hallways, offices and roll call areas behind the desk and lobby 3. Provide dumpsters for debris removal 4. Provide port-o-john for workers 5. Cleanup during project and final clean at end of project The City does not require a performance bond. The successful bidder shall comply with Sections 220 - 223 of the New York State Labor Law and/or section 42-161 of the Code of the City of Albany pertaining to the Albany Living Wage Ordinance. During the period between the bid solicitation advertisement and the bid submission deadline, there exists a prohibition on communication between proposers and City officials, except for questions submitted in a writing to the following City official: Deputy Chief Anthony Battuello Albany Police Department 165 Henry Johnson Boulevard Albany, New York 12207 Sign the bid. By signing, the bidder indicates full knowledge and acceptance of the terms and pro visions found within this Bid Packet. The bid shall be completed in the name of the bidder, corporate, or other, and shall be fully and properly executed by an authorized person. Bids shall remain valid for sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening. Bids shall be submitted either physically (by mail or hand delivery to Board of Contract and Supply, Room 202, City Hall, Albany, New York 12207), or electronically on BidNetDirect.com. If physically submitting the bid, the bid shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope with the following writing on the outside of the sealed envelope: "Sealed Bid Enclosed - Contract # XXXX - Center Station & South Station Remodeling Project" A bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount may be required with each bid. If either of these are required, the certified check or bid bond will be returned upon the awarding of the bid. Award to contract will be made only to the lowest responsible bidder, whose proposal shall comply with all the terms and provisions of this Bid Packet required to make it responsive. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bid submissions, and may advertise for new bid submissions for the same contract or project, if in so doing the best interests of the City will be promoted. The bidder shall be prepared if requested by the City to present evidence of experience, ability, and financial standing, as well as a statement as to plant, machinery, and equipment. CONTRACT PERIOD: Execution of Contract through December 31, 2025 Sealed Bids or Electronic Bids Will Be Received by the City of Albany Until 90 Minutes Prior to the Time Designated for the Opening of Bids.
