This Request for Prequalification (RFPQ) is an invitation by The Corporation of the Town of The Blue Mountains (the Town) to prospective Respondents to qualify for eligibility to provide general contracting services in support of the Thornbury West Reconstruction - Phase 1B as further described in Section A of the RFPQ Particulars (Appendix A) (the Deliverables). Town of The Blue Mountains (Town) is embarking on the reconstruction of an area within Thornbury West which will consist primarily of replacement of water, sanitary and storm sewer services in the vicinity of Alice / Louisa / Elma Streets. In addition, the Town will be installing curb and sidewalk and reconstructing roads. The Work Will Include: Reconstruction of Alice Street from South of Victoria Street to Bruce Street (350 metres) Reconstruction of Elma Street from Alfred Street to Louisa Street (420 metres) Reconstruction of Lorne Street (65 metres) Reconstruction of Louisa Street from Elma Street to Bruce Street (105 metres) Reconstruction of Park Lane (105 metres) In total, the reconstruction covers 1,045 metres of local and collector roads in the Town of Thornbury and includes replacement of: - 1,160 metres of sanitary sewer - 1,180 metres of storm sewer - 1,220 metres of watermain - 130 metres of retaining wall - 2,270 metres of curb - 2,220 metres of sidewalk - 60 sanitary, storm and water services The Work is scheduled to occur over one (1) construction season starting in March 2025 and concluding in November 2025.
