Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Only Sub-bids Submitted by Prequalified Bidders in Accordance With M.g.l. C. 149, Section 44d3/4, Subsections (a) to (J) Inclusive, Will Be Accepted. Sub-bids Will Be Required on the Work Described in the Following Disciplines of Work: Masonry, Metal Fabrications, Waterproofing and Dampproofing, Painting, Fire Protection, Plumbing, Hvac, and Electrical. the Work of This Contract Generally Consists of the Construction of a 1.8 Million Gallon Per Day (Mgd) Water Treatment Plant (Wtp) for the Existing Cyr Street and Norman Avenue Wells. The Wtp Will Utilize Greensandplus Filtration, Aeration, and Chemical Feed Systems. Building Components Including Masonry, Hvac, Plumbing, Fire Sprinkler System, Miscellaneous Iron, Waterproofing, Painting, and Electrical Services Shall Be Incorporated in the Wtp. Other Work Shall Include Site Work With Exterior Piping Systems and Stormwater Collection Systems. Additionally, 1,500 Linear Feet of Water Main Will Be Installed on Norman Avenue and Tied Into the Intersection of Matfield Street and East Street. Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Bid Security in the Amount of 5% of the Total Bid Amount and in the Form Described in the Instructions to Bidders. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond Each in the Amount of 100 Percent of the Contract Price Will Be Required in the Form Described in the Instructions to Bidders. Complete Instructions for Filing Bids Are Included in the Instructions to Bidders. Each General Bid Must Be Accompanied by a Dcamm Certificate of Eligibility for Water and Sewerage Treatment Facilities and an Update Statement (Form Cq3) in Accordance With Mgl C. 149, S44d. Each Filed Sub-bid Must Be Accompanied by a Dcamm Certificate of Eligibility and Update Statement (Form Cq3) for the Respective Trade in Accordance With Mgl C. 149, S44d and S44f. This Project is Funded in Part by the Massachusetts Clean Water Trust (the trust). Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (Dbe) Goals Are Applicable to the Total Dollars Paid to the Construction Contract. The Goals for This Project Are a Minimum of 4.2 Percent D/mbe Participation and 4.5 Percent D/wbe Participation by Certified Dbes. The Two Low Bidders Shall Submit Completed Dbe Forms (Eeo-dep-190c, Eeo-dep-191c and the Dbe Certification of United States Citizenship Form) by the Close of Business on the Third Business Day After Bid Opening. Failure to Comply With the Requirements of This Paragraph May Be Deemed to Render a Proposal Non-responsive. No Waiver of Any Provision of This Section Will Be Granted Unless Approved by the Department of Environmental Protection (Massdep). The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids, to Accept Any Bid, to Waive Any Informality on Bids Received, to Omit Any Item or Items Deemed Advisable for the Best Interests of the Owner or to Limit the Extent of the Work to Keep Within the Limits of Available Funds
