Underground Storage Tank Removal Project 211 Mountain Rd, Seymour 2 Botsford Rd, Seymour 35 Bungay Rd, Seymour The Town of Seymour is requesting proposals for the removal of three underground storage tanks located at various sites within the town. These tanks are no longer in use, as the town has transitioned to an alternative heating source. After the tanks are removed, the sites must be backfilled and restored to their original conditions. Restoration work will vary by location and may include regrading and reseeding of grass areas, as well as repair and/or replacement of concrete and asphalt surfaces. The Town is coordinating this work around the public school summer vacation schedules and various events at the affected locations, including camps. To minimize disruption to school activities, the Town plans to issue a Notice to Proceed in early June 2025. The work under this Contract shall commence on the date ordered by the Engineer in the Notice to Proceed and the contract duration will be 90 calendar days. All work must be substantially completed within 60 calendar days. The liquidated damage shall be the sum of five hundred dollars ($500) for each and every calendar day.
