**As of January 21 , 2025 , This project has been awarded to Green's Backhoe, Inc for $1,263,826.20.** The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the proposed Water Main Improvements as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of approximately 925 L.F. of 2 PVC water main, 2,266 L.F. of 6 PVC water main, 6,648 L.F. of 8 PVC water main with valves, hydrants, fittings, erosion control measures, and all associated measures for the complete project. Time allotted for completion of work is 180 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion. Work shall be complete and ready for contract close-out with 194 consecutive calendar days. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work will be awarded in one (1) Contract. All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a certified cashier's check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with "A" minimum rating performance and financial strength of at least five (5) times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability". The successful bidder, if awarded the Contract, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. All bonds must appear on the Treasury Department's most current Circular 570 Listing. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. Any Contractor submitting a bid must be a licensed Utility Contractor by the State of Georgia. License numbers must be written on the face of the bid envelope. No bid will be opened unless the license number is clearly shown. See Instructions to Bidders for additional bidding requirements. Prequalification may be required of Bidders prior to the award of contract. At the Owner's request, detailed written evidence such as financial data, bonding capacity, previous experience, present commitments, and other such data may be necessary to assist Owner in determining Contractor's qualifications shall be provided per the Instructions to Bidders contained in the contract documents. Any Contract or Contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids will be funded by a grant from the State Fiscal Recovery Funds (SFRF). Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner. Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and to re-advertise. GA-OOG5912 Question Deadline 12/10/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent ofthe Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening ofBids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
