Bid evaluations will be completed at a later time and date. Project Description: The project generally consists of the erection of a new standpipe and the demolition of the existing standpipe. Bid/Contract Documents including Drawings and Technical Specifications are on file and available for examination at the SOUTHWEST ENGINEERS, INC. office located at 307 St. Lawrence Street, Gonzales, Texas 78629 (Phone: 830-672-7546, Fax: 830-672-2034). A Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the County of Goliad may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The County requires Payment and Performance Bonds in 100% of the contract amount. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) Wage Rate, as issued by the U.S. Department of Labor and contained in the Contract Documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity or national origin. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the County for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
