This project is funded in whole or in part through the SC Infrastructure Investment Program (SCIIP). All SCIIP program requirements, schedule deadlines, federal terms and conditions, and other applicable components of the SCIIP grant requirements are applicable to this project. The Project includes the following Work: Base Bid Two test wells (including water sampling) and two municipal groundwater production wells - each approximately 700' deep with 400-gpm vertical turbine pump, 24" outer carbon steel casing, 16" inner stainless-steel casing, 8" inner stainless-steel casing, and 8" stainless-steel screen. Question Deadline 01/16/2025 Water treatment facility consisting of a 24'x30' one-story prefabricated precast concrete building on concrete foundation with four rooms (controls/electrical, caustic soda equipment, caustic soda storage, and sodium hypochlorite equipment/storage), electrical, HVAC, plumbing, instruments, controls, and telemetry (SCADA). 6" DIP, valves, fittings, and appurtenances for well site plumbing and connection to existing water system, post hydrant, electric generator (diesel), clearing, grading, gravel driveway, asphalt driveway, storm drainage, concrete slabs for wells, and fencing. Bid Alternate 1 Abandon off-site existing Well No. 2 (10" casing, 295' deep) and disconnect existing WTP No. 1 from water distribution system. Bid Alternate 2 Abandon off-site existing Well No. 3 (8" casing, 310' deep) and disconnect existing WTP No. 2 from water distribution system. NOTE: If water sampling analysis for first test well reveals that groundwater is unsatisfactory for municipal water supply, the project will be cancelled. See Project Manual for additional information. Bidders may order hard copies through a printing company of their choice, should they choose to do so. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the actual bid opening date. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bidding and to reject all Bids if it is in the Owner's best interest to do so. Pre-bid Conference A pre-bid conference will not be conducted for this project.
