The Project will consist of furnishing material, labor, and equipment for the construction of approximately 0.5 miles of 34.5 kV transmission line with distribution line underbuild and the removal of approximately 0.5 miles of 34.5 kV transmission line with under build. This will also include the installation of approximately 1.4 miles of 15kV underground distribution line. Construction is to commence as soon as contractor schedule allows and to be complete by July 18, 2025. Construction is preferred to begin as soon as the bidder is able with August 1, 2025 as a hard completion date. The project is located in Columbus, NE along East 29 Avenue near Highway 30. The Plans, Specifications for Construction, and Construction Drawings, together with all other necessary forms and documents for bidders may be viewed at the office of the Owner or obtained from the Engineer, RVW Inc., P.O. Box 495, Columbus, Nebraska 68602-0495, upon payment of forty dollars ($40), which payment is not subject to refund. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in form attached or a certified check of a bank that is a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, payable to the order of the Owner, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid price. The Owner will award the contract to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest and best proposal or, at its sole discretion, may reject any or all proposals. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond with sureties listed by the United States Treasury Department as Acceptable Sureties, in a penal sum not less than the total contract price.
