CITY OF WATKINSVILLE PARK PROJECT - Construction of the Giardini Green at Harris Shoals Park per city-provided construction documents. Work will require demolition of ballfield's remaining features and improvements, construction of ~ 9,278 square feet of 8 foot wide new pedestrian paths to improve circulation throughout the park, and construction of a 12 foot by 32 foot pergola. Work shall be in compliance with applicable standards and codes. The selected contractor will supply and install all labor materials and equipment to install such. The selected contractor will also provide and install trees and shrubs within the project and for additional screening from surrounding roads. Council is expected to award the contract at or soon after a meeting on January 15, 2025. Work shall be completed within 120 days of award. The contract will set forth further terms and conditions and is expected to be approved January 15, 2025, per O.C.G.A.; thereafter, being signed by both parties. Watkinsville reserves the rights to: waive minor informalities or irregularities, reject any or all proposals, evaluate proposals, accept any proposal deemed in its best interest, and add or delete from the contract once preliminarily awarded. Any award will be to the most responsive, responsible proposer. The selected contractor will meet with the City to negotiate and prepare a contract, as soon after the selection as is reasonable.
