The owner has selected a Design Builder. The project is expected to start construction in January 2025. Solicitation And Base Proposals The Town Of Wakefield Is Issuing This Request For Proposals ("rfp") To Solicit Pricing, Qualifications, And Project Approaches Under M.g.l. C. 30 From Professional Engineers ("respondent") To Design And Permit The Replacement Of The Train Gate System For The Broadway Railroad Crossing To Improve The Town's Pre-rule Quiet Zone Compliance. It Is The Desire Of The Town To Procure Design And Construction Period Services For The Installation Of A New Quad Gate System At The Broadway Rail Crossing To Improve The Town's Fra Pre-rule Quiet Zone Compliance. The Town Has Received A $1.2 Million Dollar Federal Earmark For Design And Construction Of The New Quad Gate System. The Grant Requires The Town To Bid The Project Within The 2025 Federal Fiscal Year. It Is The Respondent's Responsibility To Contact Public Works By Email (At Wrenault@Wakefield.ma.us) Prior To The Bid Submission Date For Any Updates To The Rfp As Issued. The Town Of Wakefield Reserves The Right To Reject Any Or All Proposals, Cancel This Solicitation, Waive Minor Informalities And Accept The Proposal Deemed To Be In The Best Interest Of The Town.
