The Walthall County, Mississippi Board of Supervisors will receive sealed bids for general supplies and culverts as herein below mentioned and other services: For the period of time from January, 2025 through December, 2025, said materials, supplies and services being generally defined and described as follows, to wit: GENERAL SUPPLIES, ETC.: (1) Oil, grease, gasoline, diesel, fuels and oils necessary to the operation of the road machinery and trucks of the county. Lumber, ready mix concrete, piling, signs, posts, washed, graded and processed gravel (gravel must be reasonably uniform in size), inch and smaller mat rock, washed/unwashed, graded and processed/unprocessed rip rap (rip rap must be reasonably uniform in size), unprocessed gravel by product consisting of sand and rock, asphalt, hardware and materials necessary and incidental to the maintenance of roads and bridges in Walthall County, Mississippi; Concrete, polyethylene (plastic) and metal culverts and pipes, coated and uncoated, and other types of assorted gauges, diameters and lengths. THE BOARD RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ACCEPT BIDS FOR WASHED, GRADED AND PROCESSED GRAVEL, WASHED/UNWASHED, GRADED AND PROCESSED/UNPROCESSED RIP RAP, UNPROCESSED GRAVEL BY PRODUCT CONSISTING OF SAND AND ROCK ON A DISTRICT BASIS IN LIEU OF COUNTYWIDE BASIS. (2) Av gas 100LL airplane fuel. (3) Hot mix and cold mix, all AC and CR grades. These items are to be bid on a twelve month basis, or in the alternative, on a six month basis. SERVICES: (1) Feeding of prisoners, including prisoners with special diets, housed in the Walthall County, Mississippi Jail, for a period of TWELVE MONTHS from the first meal on the First Wednesday after the First Monday of January, 2025, including Sundays and all Holidays. Bids should be submitted on a per meal basis. (2) Pest control services for a period of time from January 1, 2025 until the First Monday in January, 2026. (3) Bushhogging and mowing Bidders should include as a part of their bid, the equipment to be used in performance of the work, which shall constitute a factor to be considered in awarding the bid. Bidders should bid all jobs as a package but specify amounts as per each location: (A) Mowing of grass, trimming bushes and other yardwork of Department of Human Services, Walthall County Courthouse, National Guard Armory and Walthall County Health Department, for a period of time from the First Monday in January, 2025 until the First Monday in January, 2026. All yardwork should be bid on a "per job" and "call as needed" basis. (B) Bushhogging and mowing of Walthall County Airport for a period of time from the First Monday in January, 2025 until the First Monday in January, 2026, on a "per job" and "call as needed" basis. Bidders should include as a part of their bid, the equipment to be used in performance of the work, which shall constitute a factor to be considered in awarding the bid. Liability Insurance in the minimum amount of $1,000,000 shall be required of the contractor. (C) Bushhogging and mowing of the open area South of Walthall County Airport and South of Airport Road for a period of time from the First Monday in January, 2025 until the First Monday in January, 2026, on a "per job" and "call as needed" basis. (4) Hauling of sand, gravel, wash rocks, etc. for a period of time from First Monday in January, 2025 until the First Monday in January, 2026. Bids should state the amount bid per yard within a radius of 20 miles and anything over 20 miles, the amount bid per mile for every mile over the initial 20 miles. THE BOARD RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ACCEPT BIDS FOR HAULING ON A DISTRICT BASIS IN LIEU OF COUNTYWIDE BASIS. (5) Custodial/janitorial services for the Department of Human Services building for a period of time from First Monday in January, 2025 until the First Monday in January, 2026. All custodial/janitorial services should be bid separately, by building. (6) Stripping or buffing and waxing and related services for the Department of Human Services, offices and halls in Courthouse, Courthouse Annex and Extension Building for a period of time from First Monday in January, 2025 until the First Monday in January, 2026 on a "per job" and "call as needed" basis. (7) For the period of time from January, 2025 through December, 2025, said materials, supplies and services being generally defined and described as follows, to wit: (A) Proposals from qualified companies for providing disaster debris monitoring. The successful proposer will be required to enter into a contract to provide said services for a period ending the First Monday of January, 2026. All applicants must illustrate in their Proposal the ability to meet the required criteria set forth in the RFP, including, but not limited to, the ability to illustrate a company history of providing like services in similar communities with satisfactory performance verifiable through provided references. (B) Proposals from qualified companies for providing disaster debris removal and disposal services. The successful proposer will be required to execute a contract to provide said services for a period ending the first Monday of January, 2026. All applicants must illustrate in their Proposal the ability to meet the required criteria set forth in the RFP, including, but not limited to, the ability to illustrate a company history of providing like services in similar communities with satisfactory performance verifiable through provided references. (C) The spraying of herbicides along roadsides of public roads and rights of way. Bidders should bid on a "per mile" basis, to include herbicides, equipment and labor. (D) Spraying of public roads with water prior to application of CRS2 P. . Bidders should bid on a "per mile" basis, to include material, equipment and labor. (E) Spraying of public roads with CRS2 P. Bidders should bid on a "per mile" basis, to include material, equipment and labor. The Board will receive proposals on all supplies and services usual and necessary to the operation of the County buildings, machinery, equipment, appliances and public road and bridges of Walthall County, Mississippi. Additional specifications may be obtained upon request from the Board of Supervisors of Walthall County, Mississippi. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids received.
