Manatee County seeks a qualified and experienced Contractor to repair and replace missing or damaged traffic signs as a result of Hurricane Milton. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids/proposals, to waive irregularies and technicalities, and to request resubmission. Also, the County reserves the right to accept all or any part of the bid/proposal and to increase or decrease quantities to meet additional or reduced requirements of the County. Question Deadline 12/02/2024 at 3:00 PM ET The Public Works Department requires a contract for materials and services for the emergency repair and replacement of missing or damaged traffic signs as a result of the impact of Hurricane Milton. Services (as defined) include materials, labor, equipment and traffic control for work on County maintained roadways and bridges. CONTRACTOR shall furnish all supervision, quality control, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supplies, manpower, mobilization/demobilization, necessary disposal fees, traffic control, work certification and any incidentals to complete the sign repair work. Unit prices shall be all-inclusive. No additional compensation beyond the pay items of this contract will be provided to the CONTRACTOR. This is a work order contract where work will be released on an ongoing basis. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS CONTRACTOR shall: 1. Have applicable experience as a contractor performing traffic sign installation and be prequalified with FDOT. 2. Have all resources (labor, equipment and material) available to begin work within 24hrs of contract execution and receipt of work order and PO. 3. Designate a representative that is experienced with firm's operations and work requirements and whom will be present during work and authorized to act on behalf of the CONTRACTOR. 4. The representative shall be able and available to coordinate all work with the County Representative for duration as services are needed. 5. The CONTRACTOR shall provide all documentation required as part of emergency work and FEMA requirements to include before and after photos of each repair and detailed work reports which contain sign location, type, time and date of repair, etc. 6.
