Renovation of a municipal facility in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Work of this Contract, designated Contract G60-344 McBrien and McDonald Cartier/401 Emergency Service Buildings (ESBs) - Standby Generator Replacement, consists of: The supply of all materials and labour to remove and safely dispose of the existing diesel generators and associated equipment and construct new diesel standby generators along with associated mechanical and electrical systems and perform modifications to the existing facilities as required in the Contract Documents. The existing diesel generators supply power to life safety systems. The Contractor shall be responsible for the supply, installation, and maintenance of automatically actuated temporary generators and associated equipment, two (2) for each location, prior to the decommissioning and removal of existing standby generator. The temporary generators shall remain in place until the newly installed permanent standby generators are placed into service. Install new, 3-phase diesel generators sized in accordance with the Contract Documents, all associated mechanical and electrical systems, including piping, exhaust systems, heating/cooling systems, gas monitoring systems, SCADA systems, and electrical systems/equipment modifications and upgrades. Removal and disposal of the existing generator and all associated equipment and systems, including safe disposal in accordance with regulatory requirements of diesel fuel oil systems, including excess fuel, fuel piping, fuel storage tank, and associated systems.
