Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for an educational facility in Sarnia, Ontario. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 24,050-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.

The North Building Demolition consists of approximately 24,050 gross s.f. and is a two-storey building. The existing building abatement will include but not be limited to elements such as walls, ceilings, flooring, and insulated mechanical fittings. A one-storey portion of the existing building to the north will remain, which currently supports the Early ON Centre. Following abatement, demolition of this existing building will allow for the construction of a new student residence. A Hazardous Materials Survey has been completed by T. Harris Environmental Management, dated April 11th 2023, which will be provided to the selected prequalified Abatement Contractors. All queries specific to this Prequalification shall be directed to in writing, by e-mail purchasing@lambtoncollege.ca and written responses will be made available to all proponents Abatement Contractors, as noted above, interested in preparing a bid are advised that managerial experience in expediting this type and size of work is mandatory and should be identified. Abatement Contractors will be required to submit a bid bond and an agreement to bond from the bonding company for a 50% performance bond and a 50% labour and material payment bond at the time of bid submission. Abatement Contractors must be located within 120km of the College to provide quick service / response as needed. The College anticipates that abatement will begin immediately following award of the project and the work must be complete by March 1, 2025. Lambton College reserves the right to select only those proponents which are deemed suitable and qualified to undertake this project. This prequalification process does not constitute any obligation on the part of Lambton College to enter into a contract with any proponent, or that the project will proceed.
