Description: The City of Foley will be seeking proposals for the installation of Musco lights at the Beulah Heights Park Baseball field and Basketball Court located at 809 East Jefferson Avenue, Foley, AL 36535. The City will be purchasing the materials directly from MUSCO. The contractor will just be responsible for the installation of the products. The lights are expected to arrive in early January and the contractor will be provided a Notice to Proceed to begin work within 10 days of the product arrival. The goal is to have the field lighting operational by March 1, 2025. CONTRACT PERIOD The work shall be commenced within ten (10) days of the date specified in a Notice to Proceed to be issued to the Contractor by the Owner, or its authorized representative, and shall be completed within forty (40) calendar days from and after the commencement date stipulated in said Notice to Proceed. The contractor can commence work anytime upon receiving a contract. However, the 40 day completion period will not begin until receipt of Musco materials delivered on site. The goal is to have the field lighting operational by March 1, 2025. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS If total project bid is $50,000 or greater, a General Contractor's License shall be required. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must have the required major classification per Section 230-X-1-.27 of the State of Alabama Licensing Board for General Contractors Administrative Code. Contractor shall provide evidence of such by including a copy of his or her current license in the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. The bidder shall also show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered or bid packet will not be opened. PROJECT SCOPE This project will consist of electrical contractor installing new owner furnished Musco TLC LED sports lighting fixtures and 6 new Musco poles, 5 on the baseball field and 1 on the basketball court. The Contractor will be responsible for accepting delivery, storage and protection of delivered materials and for all labor and materials to complete this project. The contractor must repair any damaged items and leave site in same condition as upon arrival or start of project. As for existing poles ALL wood poles shall be cut off at ground level. All wood poles and fixtures shall be stored on site at a location to be determined by the owner. As for the electrical and control cabinet the contractor shall build a new riser rack adjacent to the transformer behind the restroom building. The contractors shall put both the basketball court and baseball field on one service. The contractor must install a new breaker panel and Musco owner furnished control cabinet. Up to two metal pedestals are needed for the breaker panel and control switches All new underground wiring shall be copper and in conduit. The baseball field shall be daisy chained with the first base side poles on one circuit and the third base side poles on another circuit.
