A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Gasparilla Island Bridge Authority (GIBA) will receive sealed proposals from contractors authorized and licensed to do business in Florida, RFP NO. 2024-01 ADMINISTRATION, MAINTENANCE, AND TENDER HOUSE BUILDING RENOVATION AND RESTORATION Requests for additional information or clarification must be emailed to Kathy Banson kathy@giba.us. The general scope of services will include three phases. Phase 1 - Administration Building - new exterior concrete block wall construction on the south and west building faces, demolition of the existing framed wall construction, removal of existing siding, stucco and crack repairs, complete Main floor interior painting, complete exterior painting, removal and construction of a new suspended ceiling in a portion of the building, minor interior construction (including electrical, lighting, HVAC and flooring), removal and replacement of the handrail system along the stairs and landing, removal and replacement of all the windows, removal and replacement of the main entrance door and windows with a new storefront system, removal and replacement of the all Ground level exterior doors, material and installation of hurricane roll-down shutters at select locations (Pre-determined bid amount included, location to be discussed at the start of construction); Phase 2 - Maintenance Building - removal of the existing building roof system including trusses, placement of new trusses and roofing, removal of the existing wooden stairs and placement of new precast concrete stair system, removal of the second floor guardrail and replacement with new posts and the existing aluminum rail sections, removal and replacement of all exterior doors, removal of existing siding, stucco and crack repairs, complete exterior painting; Phase 3 - Bridge Tender House - removal and replacement of all exterior doors including the front door and lower level door to the air conditioner platform, cable chase extension, fabrication and installation of a aluminum catch basin below the interior stairs with a pipe attachment to the stair stringers and a catch basin water relief outlet through the existing structure outfalling to the bay waters
