The work to be performed consists principally of the furnishing of all labor and materials for: Complete removal and replacement of the culvert that carries Attridge Road over Black Creek Tributary in the Town of Riga, NY with a 3-sided precast concrete box culvert on foundations. Additional work shall include roadway approach reconstruction, guiderail installation, placement of stone fill and topsoil/embankment and setting up and maintaining an off-site detour. The work shall consist of furnishing equipment and installing a sand-carved (blasted) date stamp applied to the surface of the concrete substructure in accordance with the Contract Plans, this specification and as directed by the Engineer. The contractor shall furnish and install a spray-applied, waterproofing membrane in accordance with the contract documents, approved Material Detail Sheets (MDS), and as directed by the Engineer. All surface preparation and quality-control testing of substrates and the applied membrane are included. This work shall consist of trimming, grading and reshaping the existing shoulder break area to remove excess material, establish proper grade, provide for satisfactory transverse drainage and prepare a uniform, compacted surface in preparation for placement of a Vegetation Control Strip (VCS) at the site of a proposed guide rail run installation, in accordance with the contract documents and as directed by the Engineer. This work shall consist of preforming various survey operations in accordance with the contract documents and as directed by the Engineer. All provisions of NYSDOT Standard Specifications, Section 625, latest revision, shall apply for Survey Operations with the following additions. The work shall be performed by, or under the direction of, a Professional Land Surveyor who is licensed and registered to practice in New York State. This work shall consist of furnishing, installing and certifying Steel Pin & Cap Right-of-Way Markers and Steel Pin Property Corner Markers in accordance with the contract documents and as directed by the Engineer. All provisions of NYSDOT Standard Specifications Section 625, latest revision, shall apply for Steel Pin & Cap Right-of-Way Markers and Steel Pin Property Corner Markers with the additions. The contractor shall cut existing asphalt pavement, concrete pavement, asphalt surface course, or asphalt concrete overlay on concrete pavement at the locations indicated and detailed on the plans and as directed by the Engineer.
