SEHSC Boiler Replacement The project consists of removal and replacement of existing boiler, (2) boiler pumps, and associated piping, combustion venting, and electrical connections within the facility mechanical room. The bid documents will outline a project scope consisting of a base bid. As this is a controlled access facility, security measures and coordination with State s staff shall be required at all times. The project will be completed in phases determined at project start. A single Prime bid for mechanical and electrical work will be accepted. Bids must be submitted on original copies of the Bid Form in the project specifications and must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a Bidder s Bond in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the Bid executed by the Bidder as Principal and by a Surety Company authorized to do business in this State, conditioned that if the Principal s Bid be accepted and a Contract awarded to the Principal, the Principal, within 10 days after notice of award, will execute and effect a Contract in accordance with the terms of the Principal s Bid and a Contractor s Bond as required by law and the regulations and determinations of Southeast Human Service Center. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment and Performance Bond in the full amount of the contract. All Bidders must be licensed for the highest amount of their Bid, as provided by Section 43-07-05 of ND Century Code. Bidders must hold a North Dakota Contractor s License and carry North Dakota Workers Compensation Insurance as required by law. The required bid bond envelope shall also contain a copy of the Contractor s License or Certificate of Renewal thereof issued by the Secretary of State as required by law. The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services reserves the right to hold all bids for a period of 30 days after the day fixed for the opening of the bids, and the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. Failure of any Bidder to understand the bidding or contract documents does not relieve any Bidder from any obligation in respect to their Bid.
