A timeline for the project has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Under the supervision of the Township of West Orange Mayor and Business Administrator. The Township of West Orange is desirous to develop parking lot solar canopy in the parking lot of the Municipal Complex, already utilized for surface parking. This development shall consist of solar Car Ports over a parking area, having solar technologies such as photovoltaic panels and an inverter to convert the electricity to AC, or other cuttingedge technologies. The development should consider the inclusion of macro metering as well as micro-metering for individual uses such as EV Stations. Solar panels are to be positioned so vehicles can park under them. The Township is open to new and/or alternate concepts in this ever-evolving industry and is willing to award a design-build contract in accordance with the requirements of the New Jersey Public Contracting Law, for the design and construction of these state-of-the-art facilities. To that end, the Township is looking to procure, utilizing competitive contracting, a vendor to create a relevant, responsive Request for Design-Build Bid to solicit bids from active providers of solar technology in the Township's locale. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
