Minnehaha County, SD, requests formal bids for Courthouse Renovations Bids submitted on forms other than the proposal supplied by the Minnehaha County Facilities Department will be irregular and will not be considered. Minnehaha County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, and make award(s) as deemed to be in the best interest of the county. Each bid that exceeds $5,000 must contain a Certified Check, a Cashier's Check or Draft for five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, (including "add" alternates), such Check or Draft to be certified or issued by either a State or National Bank, and payable to Minnehaha County, or, in lieu thereof, a Bid Bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, such Bond to be issued by a surety authorized to do business in this state and payable to Minnehaha County. Said Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Draft or Bid Bond guarantees the execution of a contract and shall be held by Minnehaha County until said contract is executed. (SDCL 13-20-7). Performance/Payment Bonds: The successful bidder shall be required to provide a contract performance bond and a payment bond in the penal amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price in a form approved by Minnehaha County, dated and executed the same date as the contract documents to comply with statutory requirements, in accordance with SDCL 5-21. Any proposals submitted by mail must be received prior to the time fixed for opening. Any proposals in the mail prior to the time set, but not received prior to such time shall be returned unopened. Allow seven working days for Architect's response for each RFI. RFIs received after 1:00 p.m. will be considered as received the following working day.
