It is the intent of these specifications to provide for the removal and replacement of concrete within Manalapan Township. This bid will be for one year with a possible two year extension. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000, payable unconditionally to the Township of Manalapan. The successful bidder shall execute and deliver to the Township within ten (10) days after notification of award of the contract, a satisfactory surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to 100% of the contract prices, upon the form prepared for and used by the Township in statutory form with such surety companies as sureties as shall be approved by the Township Committee and qualified and authorized to do business under the laws of the State of New Jersey. Successful bidder shall with the delivery of the performance bond submit an executed payment bond to guarantee payment to laborers and suppliers for the labor and material used in the work performed under the contract. The Contract Shall Be Awarded, or All Bids Rejected, Within 60 Days From the Receipt of Bids or Within Such Extension of Time as Permitted by Law. The Right is Reserved to Reject Any and All Bids, to Increase or Decrease Quantities to Be Purchased, or to Waive Any Informalities in the Bids and Accompanying Documents Received.
