Site work and renovation of a civil project in Muscatine, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The work includes replacement of pumps, pipe, fittings, and valves at a sanitary sewer lift station, related electrical and mechanical work; bypass pumping, including excavation, concrete demolition, and installation of bypass fittings; and incidental related work. LOCATION: The sanitary sewer lift station is located at the northeast corner of Houser Street and Dawson Street in Muscatine, Iowa PROJECT COMPLETION DATE: Project to be completed no later than December 31, 2025. ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE: $256,000.00 Contractor shall fully complete the project no later than December 31, 2025. Should the contractor fail to complete the work in this timeframe, liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day will be assessed for work not completed within the designated contract term. The City of Muscatine reserves the right to defer acceptance of any bid for a period of up to sixty (60) calendar days after receipt of bids and no bid may be withdrawn during this period. If requested, the bid security of unsuccessful bidders shall be promptly returned as soon as the successful bidder is determined or within thirty (30) days, whichever is sooner.
