A. Contract Type: A single prime contract B. The scope of work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, replacement of fireproofing at the Somerset County Jail C. The intent of the Contract Documents is to include all items necessary for the proper execution and completion of the Work by the Contractor. The Contract Documents are complementary, and what is required by one shall be as binding as if required by all. 1. In the case of conflicts or discrepancies between Drawings and Division 02-49 of the Specifications, or within or among the Contract Documents and not clarified by Addendum, the Architect will determine which takes precedence. 3. Release of all Plans/Drawings requires receipt of a form of identification from the requesting individual and Company information. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, payable unconditionally to Somerset County Treasurer, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for full amount of bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and that said Surety will furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of successful bidder's contract. All Bid Addenda will be issued on the County website at www.co.somerset.nj.us, and processed in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-23(c)(2).
