Site work and paving for a road / highway in Richmond, Virginia. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This segment of the Powhite Parkway Phase 1 improvements will widen Woolridge Road from two lanes to four, from a point just south of Old Hundred Road to a point just north of Lacoc Road. This segment will connect to the Woolridge Road extension to the north and the Woolridge Road widening to the south. It will also connect to the Powhite over Tomahawk Creek segment to the east. This segment of work also proposes to construct the Powhite Parkway extension from Woolridge Road to the future bridge over Tomahawk Creek. Chesterfield is proposing an innovative intersection at the intersection of Powhite Parkway and Woolrdige Road, a displaced left turn which is an intersection that operates safely and efficiently by reducing the number of conflict (or crossing) movements within the intersection. As of March 17, 2026, this project is in the design phase. Construction is expected to begin the summer or fall of 2026.
