Cryomodule Repair & Maintenance Facility (CRMF) Conventional Building and Site Infrastructure Construction Project The 21,743 GSF facility is a 44-foot high fully functional building featuring a structural steel braced-frame main structure, supported by concrete piers and a raised concrete floor foundation. It includes overhead cranes to support cryomodule loading/unloading and the movement of cryogenic equipment. The building exterior consists of insulated metal wall cladding and a steel joist with an insulated roof diaphragm. The facility will provide dedicated space for full cryomodule disassembly and reassembly, as well as for the repair and testing of cryomodules. Site preparation, utility connections, and building construction for CRMF will be delivered under a fixed-price, turn-key construction contract. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The award range for this project is anticipated to be $30M-$37M. SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the U.S. Department of Energy, making this a federally funded construction project. As such, in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act, DOE WH Publication 1321 is required to be posted along with other required labor postings at the jobsite. Proposals must be valid for One-Hundred-Twenty (120) calendar days.
