Site work for a water / sewer project in Stirling City, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) for removal, and replacement of above ground fuel storage tank. All questions should be emailed in writing to timothy.bolton@fire.ca.gov. NO QUESTIONS will be accepted after 1:00 p.m. December 05, 2024. Written responses to all questions will be collectively compiled and posted, as an Addendum, to the online. Bonds Payment Bond (STD 807) Requirement: If the successful bidder's bid exceeds $25,000, the successful bidder shall furnish a Payment Bond for not less than 100 percent (100%) of the total amount payable by the terms of this Agreement. The Payment Bond is due prior to the start date of work. No work may commence without receipt of a valid Payment Bond. The Payment Bond must be in effect at all times for the duration of the Agreement. If the Payment Bond expires during the term of the Agreement, a new Payment Bond must be provided to the CAL FIRE representative not less than 10 business days prior to its expiration. Failure to maintain a Payment Bond for the full term of this Agreement will be grounds for termination for default in addition to other legal remedies CAL FIRE may have. Inadequate or lack of a Payment Bond does not negate the Contractor's obligations under this Agreement. Contractor's License Prime bidder must have at time of bid submittal and for the duration of the contract, a valid, current Class A General Engineering Contractor license issued by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB), for the type of work to be performed. Bidder shall obtain, pay for and maintain, in good standing, all necessary licenses and permits to accomplish the work. Bidders will be considered non-responsive unless proper licensing requirements are met. An invalid license will result in rejection of the bid. Positive verification of a valid license issued by the CSLB will be performed by CAL FIRE (reference Business and Professions Code Section 7028.15). Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) for removal, and replacement of above ground fuel storage tank, as described herein: Contractor shall provide to CAL FIRE all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, fees, and supervision necessary to complete the removal and replacement of the split 500-gallon diesel / 500-gallon gasoline above ground storage tank as described. A. Contractor shall provide project, plans, specifications, State Fire Marshall Gov Motus permit, and local, or county permits, and inspections as required. B. Contractor shall submit required applications and pay associated fees to obtain a Butte County Air Quality Management District authority to construct permit. C. All pumpable liquid has been removed from the tank by CAL FIRE. Contractor shall be responsible for removal, and disposal of any additional liquid that is required to be removed from existing tank for transport. D. Contractor shall provide a crane, and shall load, haul, and legally dispose of existing 1,000 gallon above ground storage tank. E. Contractor shall provide a new 1,000-gallon (split 500 gallons diesel / 500 gallons gasoline) Fire Guard UL 2085 rectangular design above ground storage tank. F. Contractor shall install new tank on existing concrete slab and anchor, bond, and ground as required by tank manufacturer's specifications. G. Contractor shall provide and install any required tank or equipment trim, including any mounting hardware and anchors. H. Contractor shall provide and install two (2) new 20 gallon per minute minimum 120-volt Fill Rite model 702VRU fuel pumps with meters to include a minimum of 15 feet of one (1) inch diameter fueling hoses with automatic shut off nozzles. Fuel pumps are to be installed with inline spin on type fuel filters and include break away devices on each fuel hose. I. Contractor shall disconnect and dispose of existing fuel pumps. J. Contractor shall be responsible for disconnecting all electrical wiring to existing pumps and re-connect new pumps to existing wiring. K. Contractor shall be responsible for replacing or repairing any electrical conduit or wiring damaged during the removal or installation of the new above ground tank. L. Contractor shall perform any required special testing, and certification of the new system, and ensure correct operation before project is deemed complete. M. Contractor shall remove all components, debris, and trash from the site upon completion of work. N. Contractor must complete all work within a two (2)-week schedule from start date, weather permitting. Start date to be determined after contact execution. O. CAL FIRE will supply power and water source for construction and bathroom facilities for crew workers. P. Contractor shall provide a new fully permitted, functioning fuel storage and delivery system for job to be considered complete. Q. One Time Payment will be made upon completion of project, and CAL FIRE Project Representative acceptance of work.
