Renovation of a municipal facility in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The Town of North Attleborough, Massachusetts, herein called the Owner, acting by and through its Town Manager, will receive sealed Bids for the project known as the 240 Smith St. Furnish and Installation of Waste Oil Unit Heater Project. The successful general bidder must agree to commence work within twenty (20) days of the date of the Notice to Proceed and to fully complete the project within ninety (90) days, except as otherwise agreed by the Town, Force Majure applied. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a BID BOND, CASH, or, CERTIFIED CHECK issued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of 5% of the bid price. A performance bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of the total amount of the contract price with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will be required for the faithful performance of the contract, as well as a labor and materials bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of the total contract price. The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of the bids. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. The Work consists of furnishing and installation of a 350,000 BTU/hr (input) Central Furnace Package, complete and all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the Specifications herein. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, services, materials, equipment, plant, machinery, apparatus, appliances, tools, supplies, and all other things necessary to do all work required for the completion of each item of the Work and as herein specified. The Work to be done and paid for under any item shall not be limited to the exact extent mentioned or described but shall include all incidental work necessary or customarily done for the completion of that item. FURNISH AND INSTALLATION OF WASTE OIL UNIT HEATER SCOPE OF WORK: Work performed under this Contract shall include all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to furnish and install a new, 350,000 (max.) BTU/hour input (280,000 BTU/hour output) waste oil furnace, pump, oil line and filter system for existing 500 gallon waste oil tank and 8" Chimney Kit. The furnace shall be factory assembled and pre-wired a a single, packaged unit suitable for firing used oils. The furnace shall be UL/ULC tested to burn the usedoils per NFPA 31, Chapter 12, Section 12.4.1, 12.4.2, and 12.4.3. The furnace shall be complete with one used-oil burner assembly, one used-oil pump assembly and all devices and controls required for safe and efficient operation. Wiring of the unit to building power is not included in the scope of this work and shall be performed by others. Waste Oil Unit Heater shall contain, but not be limited to inclusion of the following: One (1) used-oil firing burner One (1) 65 to 200 degree F fan/limit control with 8" insertion length. One (1) Fan Switch One (1) High Limit Switch One (1) Auxiliary High Limit Switch (automatic reset) One (1) Spst Contactor120 vac/60hz/1ph with a 120 vac coil rated at 25 amps for up to 1.5hp motors One (1) Dpst Contactor 240 vac/60hz/1ph with a 120 vac coil rated at 30 amps for up to 3hp motors One (1) 45 to 90 degree F 24 vac wall mounted digital thermostat with positive off position (non-mercury). One (1) Used-oil pump assembly with a 1/20th hp motor @ 377rpm, TENV, DP, PSC, sealed, ball bearing, ccw-se rotation 10 0 AC frame, parallel shaft, close coupled stud mounted , 3.42" diameter gear motor, with a 6 uf (mfd)/ 50 vac capacitor. One (1) Oil Pump relief valve assembly One (1) canister filter with washable 100-mesh stainless steel screen filter element. One (1) Oil vacuum gauge. One (1) 3/4 " x 3/4 " in-line brass check valve One (1) 3/4 " in-line washable 50-mesh stainless steel screen filter element for the check valve. One (1) blower kit with 2hp motor at 1,725 rpm, TEFC, DP, sealed, PSC, ball bearing, cwse rotation, resilient mounted, 6-1/2" diameter fan motor delivering 4,200 cfm of free air. One (1) 8" barometric damper One(1) 8", 24-gauge galvanized sheet metal cap Burner oil line and air line components, as required. All appurtenant bolts and fitting for installation.
