The project includes the following work: Replacement of existing water meters with Ultrasonic water meters. The successful bidder will be required to furnish in satisfactory form, within fifteen (15) days of Notice of Award to Contract: (a) A Performance Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the contract price. (b) A Payment Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the contract price. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids. The work to be done under this Contract shall include, but without limitation, the furnishing of all materials, labor, tools, appliances, and equipment necessary to perform and complete everything specified and embodied in the Contract Documents, Plans and Specifications and constructing complete, ready for use, Water Meter Project, all as hereinafter specified and as shown on the plans. The principal items of work are listed in the Advertisement for Blds, and the items of work are listed in detail in the Proposed Form. The specified quantities for unit price bid in the Proposal Form are estimated quantities and are approximate only, and the final quantities may vary from those specified. Such quantities shown, however, at the unit price bid for each shall determine the value of each Proposal. The amount in the column "Total Amount for Item" in the Proposal Form, will be determined by multiplying the number of units shown for each item, by the unit price bid for the item. The sum total of all the amounts will be the Total Amount Bid. The work to be performed by the Contractor shall consist of constructing Water Meter Project.
