For this project, the Village of West Milwaukee will ONLY be receiving and accepting bids for the 2025 Street Lighting Project The electronic bid form will be available for completion beginning Wednesday, December 11, 2024. All bidders must file a Pre-Qualification and Proof of Responsibility Form with the Village Engineer on or before 4:00 P.M. on December 13, 2024. The prime Contractor shall perform at least 30% of the original contract amount with their own staff. Affidavit of Non-Collusion. This project requires that an affidavit of non-collusion be incorporated as a part of the proposal requirements provided to each prospective bidder. A Certified check or bid bond payable without condition to the Village of West Milwaukee in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a proper contract and bond will be executed and filed within ten (10) days after the acceptance of the bid. If such bidder fails to execute and file such contract and bond, the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the Village of West Milwaukee for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of opening bids.
