Project Description: Project includes but is not limited to: 1. Replace existing rooftop unit with new rooftop unit in same location. 2. Disconnect and reconnect the electrical, gas piping, and ductwork. 3. Replace all thermostats and control valves with new. Qualified bidders may submit bids for project as described in this Document. Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders. 1. Regulatory Requirements: Knott County Fiscal Court procurement requirements shall govern submittal, opening, and award of bids. B. Project Identification: Knott County Judicial Center Rooftop Unit Replacement. Project Location: 2003 West Main Street, Hindman, KY 41822. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades). Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5% Five percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 sixty days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. 1.6 TIME OF COMPLETION AND LIQUIDATED DAMAGES A. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. 240 Two hundred and forty calendar days for substantial completion. 1. Liquidated damages of $500.00 Five Hundred Dollars a day substantial completion date is exceeded. 1.7 BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS A. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
