the demolition and renovation of two Yadkin County Courtrooms will be received by the County Purchasing Specialist, located at 217 East Willow Street Yadkinville North Carolina Please submit all questions in a written format deliverable to Mary Grace Jones, Yadkin County Purchasing Specialist, no later than 5:00pm EST on December 23rd , 2024. Yadkin County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or to waive any or all formalities. Scope of Work General Requirements: All renovations must meet current local and state building codes, including electrical, safety, andaccessibility standards. All renovations must be compliant with necessary ADAcompliancerequirements. The Bidder is responsible for holding all insurance policies deemed necessary bytheCounty, asto be noted in the awarded contract. The Bidder must be willing to list the Countyof Yadkinasadditional insured. The Bidder is responsible for securing any necessary permits for the renovationwork. If permitsare required, the Bidder will handle the submission and costs associated with the permits. Demolition and Renovation to occur in CR1 and CR2 Courtroom Desk: Clerk Desks: o Quantity: Three (CR1) and Two (CR2) o Space Requirements: Each desk must be side by side. Each desk must provideat least four feet of work surface per clerk, as shown in the sample drawings. Theredoesnot needto be dividers between each clerk, rather, one solid workspace. o Electrical Requirements: Each clerk workstation area should have the capacitytosupportat least two desktop computers, one document scanner, and one laptopwithchargingcapability per clerk. This will require adequate electrical outlets and data connections. o Materials and Design: The desks should be either custom-built to meet thespacerequirements or a prefabricated solution that can be modified to suit. Arefurbishment ofexisting desk is acceptable as long as the space, electrical, and ergonomic requirementsare met. Desk surfaces should be durable and easy to maintain. Desk shouldincludecablemanagement features to keep wiring organized and out of sight. Desk must includeat least one drawer for material to be stored. Each clerk should enter the deskareafromtheback of their workstation and have a clear line to a door as exit. o Placement: Each clerk desk will be raised one step above ground level toensurebettervisibility and separation from other areas in the courtroom
