Phase 3 Modernizations Interior Classroom Mods at 5 School Site Pre-Qualification of Trade Contractors To receive plans and bid, Trade Contractors must possess a current and active license to perform the work listed, submit and certify the required Responsibility Questionnaire information, and be pre-qualified by the District. General Trades A or B License Required Electrical Trades C-10 License Required Painting Trades C-33 License Required Flooring Trades C-15 License Required Only Pre-Qualified Contractors will be permitted to bid. Contracts will require a 100% Performance Bond, a 100% Labor and Materials Bond and a Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the submitted bid. The project is subject to the State Labor Code. Labor Code 1720-1861 regarding DIR registration, the payment of prevailing wages and submission of certified payroll statements will be enforced Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise, in accordance with Education Code Section 17076.11, the Cambrian School District has "a participation goal of at least 3% per year of the overall dollar amount expended each year by the school district for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise". Thus, all contractors bidding on this project are required to make a good faith effort to achieve this 3% participation goal. Requirements for demonstrating that this good faith effort has been made are included in the Project Manual.
