Bid to provide professional services to maintain the integrity of the traffic signal and school zone flashers within the limits of the City of Bellaire, Texas, 77401. Question Deadline 12/11/2024, Requests for clarification shall be directed in writing by email to Gilbert Salas, Assistant Director of Public Works, at gsalas@bellairetx.gov Emailed requests for clarification must include Bid 25-002 in the email subject line The City's Department of Public Works is issuing this Request for Bids to solicit services from all interested, qualified, and licensed vendors to provide professional services to maintain the integrity of the traffic signal and school zone flashers within the limits of the City of Bellaire, Texas, 77401. The initial term of a contract awarded because of this bid shall be for an initial period ending on September 30, 2025. The contract may be renewed according to the terms stated herein forfour additional one-year periods by the City Manager. Bidders shall provide professional services 24 hours per day without regard to holidays for the duration of the contract. Bidder's businesses shall provide the City of Bellaire's representatives with a phone number to a professionally manned 24-hour dispatch office with personnel capable of coordinating the necessary resources and responding to any type of service call. The City of Bellaire considers response time a critical factor. The bidder shall provide emergency services within a maximum of one hour from receiving a phone call from the City's representative. During the evaluation process, the City reserves the right, where it may serve the City's best interest, to request additional information or clarifications from bidders, or to allow corrections of errors or omissions. At the discretion of the City, firms submitting proposals may be requested to make oral presentations as part of the evaluation process. The City reserves the right to negotiate all elements of the proposal to ensure that the best possible consideration is afforded to all. The City also reserves the right to retain all proposals submitted and to use any ideas in a proposal regardless of whether that proposal is selected. Submission of a proposal indicates acceptance by the firm of the conditions contained in this request for proposal, unless clearly and specifically noted in the proposal submitted and confirmed in the contract between the City and the firm selected. The City reserves the right to reject all submittals and reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in any submittal or in the submittal procedure, when to do so would be to the advantage of The City.
