Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Bristol, Connecticut. Design plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
As of October 22, 2025, this project is in the design phase. A timeline for construction has not been established. The City of Bristol is seeking proposals from firms to provide design and prepare complete construction plans and specifications, inclusive of survey, environmental permits and construction administration services, for the replacement of a bridge structure on Andrews Street over an unnamed brook. The selected firm shall demonstrate experience with the State Local Bridge Program and experience working with the Department of Transportation, as well as the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. he City reserves the right to waive any informalities in any submission, to reject any and/or all submissions, and to accept the proposal(s) that in its judgment is in its best interest. Submissions may be made via email, shared file service, or USB drive; the City does not assume responsibility for failure of submissions to be received by the City by the date and time noted above. The awarded firm will take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, color, religion, gender, or national origin. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
