2025 Milling Highway Districts 3 and 4. Questions and clarifications will be accepted via the Q&A Tab on PHL Contracts up to 11:59 PM Eastern Time on November 19, 2024 Replace the concrete inlet tops as shown on the drawings or established by the Engineer. This work shall consist of the resetting or adjusting of manhole castings of size up to 36 inches, for a vertical height of 4-inches or less, to the lines and grades of the finished roadway paving, or as directed by the Engineer. This work shall consist of the resetting or adjusting of manhole castings of size greater than 36 inches, for a vertical height of 4-inches or less, to the lines and grades of the finished roadway paving, or as directed by the Engineer. This work consists of the maintenance and protection of pedestrians, traffic for all traveled roadways within the construction area in accordance with PDT Publication 213, Section 901 of PDT 408, the drawings, the pavement marking handbooks and these special provisions. This work includes providing for temporary pavement markings, lane striping, pedestrian walkways, flashers, flashing arrow boards, traffic cones, flagmen, delineators, barricades, temporary signs and all materials, equipment and labor necessary for the acceptable maintenance and protection of traffic as indicated on the drawings, or directed by the Engineer. This work shall consist of furnishing all labor, tools and equipment for trimming and removal of small trees, branches from trees, shrubs, perennial and annual plants and/or weeds that restrict the installation of the New Asphalt Paving or the Milling of the Streets. Removal of plants must be approved by the Resident Engineer/ Project Manager. This work consists of furnishing and setting an inlet dripstone within limits conforming to the lines and grades indicated on the drawings or established by the Engineer, within a vertical distance of 4 inches of the existing brick work. This work consists of resetting an existing inlet dripstone within the limits conforming to the lines and grades indicated on the drawings or established by the Engineer, within a vertical distance of 4 inches of the existing brick work. This work consists of the removal by planning or milling of up to 3-1/2 inches of the existing bituminous paving full width of the street with a smooth transitional cross grade. This work consists of providing Philadelphia Police Officers at locations and for time periods as directed by the Engineer to maintain traffic control within the construction area. The Officers will be outfitted in their uniform. The Officers will have mobile communication equipment on their person that connects directly to the City of Philadelphia Police Department. This item may only be used when it is deemed that normal temporary Traffic Controls are not sufficient for a specific location. Prior approval from the City is required for the use of this item This work consists of the Contractor posting the street, and removing vehicles as required to obtain access to the site. This work is the furnishing, setting up, and maintaining of an Apple iPad(s), for the exclusive use of project inspection personnel. The number of iPads to be furnished under this contract is two (2). This work shall consist of unclassified excavation and disposal of the existing material, preparation of the sub grade, and the construction of a new H.E.S. concrete base course. This work includes any unforeseen construction that is not specified in the contract which is required for the completion of the project as determined by the Engineer. This work shall consist of the resetting or adjusting the frame of an open mouth or a grate inlet for a vertical height of 4-inches of less to the lines and grades indicated on the drawings or established by the Engineer. This work shall consist of rebuilding inlets any size or type for a vertical distance in excess of four inches, and resetting the existing hood, top or frame, and dripstone within reasonably close conformity to the lines and grades indicated on the drawings or established by the Engineer. This work includes all equipment, labor, materials and incidentals necessary to furnish digital photographic/video records of existing curb, sidewalk and driveway conditions immediately prior to milling and again after prep for each street where work will be performed under this contract. The intent is to document the condition of existing conditions which could be used in response to complaints. Contractor must appoint a representative for handling the complaints and investigation of claims. The Contractor must submit the representative's contact name and Phone number before the notice to proceed to the Engineer. Each photo must be given a unique file name/label which corresponds to specific address of property. This work shall consist of the removal of roadway surface paving down to the existing base course within the limits shown on the drawings or established by the Engineer. This work shall consist of the removal of existing roadway surface paving around City owned utility structures, including the PWD manhole frames and valve boxes that DO NOT have to be reset for resurfacing. This work consists of safe removal and salvage of rubber speed cushion and all hardware accessories before milling operation starts. This work shall consist of painting temporary lines on the roadway surface, where needed, immediately after the surface has been milled and before it is opened to traffic as directed by the project/district Engineer. Placement of temporary lines shall mimic the existing condition. This work shall consist of installing No Parking signs and Public Outreach Door Handle Cards for each street location in this contract, in advance of the work. This work shall consist of the resetting or adjusting of manhole castings of any types or sizes, for a vertical height of 4-inches or less, to the lines and grades of the finished ADA ramp, sidewalk or roadway paving. This work shall consist of rebuilding water and/or sewer manholes of any size for a vertical distance in excess of four (4) inches and resetting the existing casting to the lines and grades of the finished paving and as directed by the Engineer. This work consists of the resetting of a 7-inch or less water casting frame and cover within reasonably close conformity to the lines and grades of the finished ADA ramp, sidewalk, roadway paving. or established by the Engineer.
