Demolition, renovation and addition to a transportation facility in Austin, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility; and for the demolition of a transportation facility.
The goal of the Atrium Infill Project is to introduce an additional 12,000 sf of TSA screening queuing space to ensure that passengers will not need to queue outside or congest areas occupied by arriving and departing passengers. The additional space will come from infilling the existing atrium space over existing baggage claims 2, 3, and 4. This project will also focus on replacing and upgrading the infrastructure in the area around the new infilled space to improve the passenger experience. The construction will occur between early 2025 and middle 2026. Scopes of work include demolition, concrete, MEP, terrazzo flooring, metal wall panels, drywall/framing/ceilings, miscellaneous metals, netting, fireproofing, glass & glazing, doors & hardware, and other miscellaneous general requirements. The project has a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal of 4.58%.
