Metcon, Inc the Construction Manager on behalf of Harnett County Schools, Flatwoods Middle School is requesting interested Trade Partners to prequalify. The New Flatwoods Middle School will have one and two-story wings totaling approximately 158,000 square feet. The building will include a gymnasium and auditorium. It will feature a slab-on-grade, masonry load-bearing structure with cavity wall construction, incorporating brick and metal panel exterior walls. The interior will consist of CMU walls, glue-lam beams, steel trusses, and joists, with standing seam and membrane roofs. The finishes will include painted CMU and gypsum board on metal studs, acoustical tile ceilings, aluminum windows with insulated glass, hollow metal doorframes, and wood doors. Additionally, the project will encompass kitchen equipment and related site work, such as a geothermal well field, playfields, parking lots for buses and cars, access drives, and concrete sidewalks.
