Requesting sealed Bids for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and appurtenances necessary for the construction of the COMMUNITY HEALTH ANDRECREATION CENTER project The Project consists of: RENOVATION OF'EXISTING' BLOCK AND BRICK STRUCTURE APROXIMATELY 11,843 S.F. CONSISTING OF REMOVING SOMEINTERIOR BLOCK WALLS TO CREATESEVERAL MULTIUSE SPACES, INSTALLNEW MEN'S AND WOMEN'S RESTROOMS, NEW ELECTRICAL, NEWHVAC, NEW ROOFING, NEW WINDOWS, DOORS AND ALL NEW WALL,CEILING AND FLOOR FINISHES. THERE IS ALSO A 'NEW' BRICK VENEERED 2,500 S.F. ADDITION THAT IS LOAD BEARING MASONRY, WITH BAR JOIST AND POST AND BEAM FRAMEWITH NEW INSULATED TPO MEMBRANE ROOF. The project is being bid as 'BASE BID' with(3) Three alternates. The work will be awarded in one 'Prime Contract'. The Instructions to Bidders, Bid, Contract Agreement, Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, prepared on the form of Bid Bond attached to the Con-tract Documents or a Surety Company's Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Tennessee and listed as a certified company in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570, in the amount of (5%) fivepercent of the Bid. Funding: Any contract or contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bidsare expected to be funded in part by a grant from the Tennessee Department ofEconomic and Community Development under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) "regular round". Bidders must comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246, requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246,and as supplemented by Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR, Part 60), which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex ornational origin. All bidders must be licensed and shall comply with all requirements of the State of Tennessee Con-tractor's Licensing Act.The Owner will in no way be liable for any costs incurred by any bidder in the preparation of its Bid in response to this Advertisement for Bids. The successful Bidder for this Contract willbe required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid.
