Renovation of a transportation facility in Daytona Beach, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
This project will replace the existing centrifugal chillers and associated equipment. The chillers are 24 years old and nearing the end of their useful life. The repairs are becoming more frequent, and the parts are becoming harder to find or obsolete. The design of the chillers is scheduled for fiscal year 2026-27, to include replacement of the two 400-ton chillers and one 200-ton chiller. The construction will be programmed based on funding availability from FDOT in Fiscal Years 2027-28, 2028-29. As of October 15, 2025, this project is included in the County's FY 2024-2025 to FY 2028-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and funding is allotted for construction in FY 2027-28 and FY 2028-29. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
